The better performing hatchback Polo GT has been silently launched by Volkswagen loaded with new interesting features. The company has launched the TSI and TDI variants with additional features cooled glove box, cruise control and electrically foldable ORVMs. The new feature loaded trims may cost an addition Rs 10,000 – Rs 15,000 over the current models.
The feature loaded Polo GT TSI and TDI continues to be powered by 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine mated to 7-speed DSG automatic transmission that generates about 103bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque. The diesel trim shall continue to be powered by 1.5-Litre TDI engine mated to 5-speed manual that generates about 103bhp of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque.
The fresh upgrades are expected to boost the sales for Volkswagen in India during the upcoming festive season. The vehicle is expected to emerge as a strong competitor against Abarth Punto Evo. Apart from feature upgrades, the vehicle has not received any major technical upgrades.
