Czech car-maker Skoda has made itself prominent in the Indian automotive circuit by catering to the masses with cars across hatchback, sedan and SUV segments. Skoda Yeti has been present in the Indian market for quite sometime. The compact SUV is currently present in India with an option of front wheel drive and an all wheel drive. Koleos from Renault is a visual treat, the SUV has been crafted for stunning style with a dash of superior comfort.
The Renault Koleos two wheel drive is powered by 2.0 Litre engine that generates about 150Ps of power at 4000 RPM. The four wheel drive version is also powered by 2.0 Liter engine that generates about 173 Ps of power. The car has been designed for extra-urban adventure with optimized handling and maneuverability. For safety the car is loaded with the ESP system controls that corrects the trajectory. Moreover, the braking assistance feature reduces the distance on stopping. The SUV comes pre-fitted with a combination of cruise control and a speed limiter. The car is high on performance, but does not compromise on fuel efficiency figures and delivers an impressive mileage of around 17.15 kmpl.
Yeti, the compact SUV from Skoda is powered by 1.6 litre, 4-cylinder TDI engine, whereas the top line variant is powered by 2.0 litre TDI engine. Both the engines have been refined to deliver an impressive performance. The 1.6 litre has been tuned to churn out power output at 103 bhp, whereas the 2.0 generates about 168 bhp. The car maybe available in 4x2 version maybe mated with five speed gearbox, whereas the 4x4 version maybe mated to a six speed gearbox. The upcoming version of Skoda Yeti has received cosmetic upgrades this time around, whereas major technical changes are not expected. The front fascia of the car has received a new grill that compliments the body colored bumpers. Moreover, the side protective moldings and rear panels, gives the car a sportier and fitter look. The 4x4 version of Yeti comes with an additional change like black plastic moldings, these are meant to give the car a bigger and bolder look. On the interiors, Skoda Yeti looks fresher in comparison to its previous counterparts. Seat fabrics have undergone changes and it has been redesigned for superior comfort. Steering wheel has also been redesigned and the dashboard is adorned with decorative trim pieces to enhance the driving space. Previously the car was priced between Rs. 15 Lakhs – 20 Lakhs. Price for the newer face-lift version is not officially confirmed.
