The new generation Range Rover SUV hidden behind camouflage was spotted in china performing road test. As far as SUVs are concerned, China is one of the most prominent markets in the world. This is the prime reason why the UK based automobile company Land Rover is gearing up to launch the new model in the world's largest automotive market. The fourth-generation Range Rover will be on a bit expensive side due to some modifications which are expected to come with it. As per reports, the car will come with a starting price tag of 65,000 GBP, which can go up to 120,000 GBP varying over powertrains and other options.

A new lightweight platform, which was initially planned to be utilised on the Jaguar XJ, will be the foundation of the all new 2014 model. This platform will ensure better mileage and lesser emission as it will shave 400kgs off the SUV. A hybrid variant of the 4th-generation SUV may roll out as well, with low emissions of 150 gkm and much better mileage with the aid of a V6 petrol engine and an electric motor.

Based on the recent spy shots, Ivan Martinovic, PS-Garage came up with his own design of the model. The 2014 Range Rover will feature details like more rounded front end and a bit more streamlined wind shield and rear glass. However, it will be built along the same silhouette and proportions of the existing model.

The 4th generation model is completely overhauled on the inside even though it may look a lot like the previous model. It now features a new pressed aluminium monocoque, which will make the SUV light weight. Other important features will include new 3.0-liter supercharged V6 of Jaguar-Land Rover in the upcoming F-Type roadster and plug-in hybrid variants.
