TVS Motor Company seems to be on a rise as its shares climbed up by 8.2 per cent intra-day recently on the 3rd of March, 2015. This happened when the company was reporting that it had climbed approximately 15.14 per cent in sales numbers in February. The Chennai-based company had made sales of 204565 units in February 2015 alone as against the 177662 units in the same month in 2014. The total two-wheeler sales figures rose up to 14.8 per cent with 195509 unit sales on yearly basis.
The company revealed, "Domestic two-wheeler sales increased 11.47 per cent year-on-year to 164508 units in February. Motorcycle sales grew 18.37 per cent year-on-year to 74292 units and scooter sales jumped 35.15 per cent to 56,750 units in February 2015."
As far as the total exports are concerned, the company posted up to 35 per cent with the sales figures increasing from 28782 units in the month of February to 38725 units during the same period last year. The two-wheeler exports grew by 36 per cent to 31001 units during the same period. The total sales of three-wheelers in February 2015 climbed up to 22.89 per cent to 9056 units that were previously slated at 7369 units in February 2014. The TVS Motor Company scrip was last quoted at 295.20 INR, which was up by 23.25 INR or 8.55 per cent at BSE.
