TVS Motor Company Limited, the country's fourth largest two-wheeler manufacturer, is believed to be working towards re-launching the Victor motorcycle, its best-selling product in Indian market till date. The new Victor will be offered in a revamped avatar and is anticipated to replay its success story that paved the way for TVS Motor's next in-line products in the domestic entry-level two-wheeler market.

Recently, the Chennai based motorcycle and scooter manufacturer introduced its brand new 125 cc bike called 'Phoenix' in the country, which was priced at Rs. 53, 000 (ex-showrooms of Chennai). TVS Motors' has pitched its Phoenix motorcycle against the likes of Bajaj Discover, Hero MotoCorp's Glamour and Honda Shine in the domestic motorcycle market.

With the reworked Victor motorcycle, TVS Motor is believed to reproduce another product offering that were introduced in the market, two-wheelers Flame and Ventura failed to steer the Indian audience towards TVS stores and were deemed failures by the industry experts.

The 110 cc Victor bike was an instant success for TVS Motor Company and boosted the sales for the Chennai based brand. Recently, the company lost its title as the third largest two-wheeler operator in the country to Honda. Thus, TVS Motor will be aspiring to reclaim its position with the new Phoenix motorcycle and the yet-to-be launched refurbished Victor bike.

Currently, the company retails four entry-level motorcycles – Star City, Star Sport, Jive and the newly launched Phoenix 125 cc for the daily commuting working class. The upcoming Victor bike is anticipated to be introduced around June-July months of 2013, with a reasonable pricing, so that the middle class buyers eye the bike as a perfect vehicle.
