Toyota is reportedly working on introducing Android Auto system across its products in the global markets. Reports indicate that Toyota and Google have entered into an agreement for this Android Auto system and an official announcement regarding the same would be made next month.

Earlier this year, the Japanese car manufacturer had introduced Apple CarPlay across a few models in the global market. Till then, Toyota had refrained from introducing Android Auto and Apple CarPlay citing concerns over personal data that the parent company required for the software to work. The company deliberately chose to avoid third-party connectivity systems to avoid compromising on user data being tracked. The recently launched Yaris sedan is likely to be the first car to receive the Apple CarPlay system in India.

As of now, it is not known which one of the Toyota models would get the Android Auto system and more details in this regard will be known post the official announcement next month.
