The domestic Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) enthusiasts will have to shell out a sum of Rs. 21.75 lacs (ex-showrooms of New Delhi), in order to get behind the wheels of the new Toyota vehicle. Further, the automatic variant of the Limited Edition Fortuner TRD Sportivo comes with a price tag of Rs. 22.60 lacs and most importantly, both models are available on sale till December 2012.

Expressing his delight at the launch of the Fortuner TRD Sportivo Limited Edition SUV,  Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director (MD), Marketing, TKMPL said, “We have introduced a whole new range of limited edition vehicles to provide our customers something new and trendy for the festive season. Limited units of these vehicles are on sale till Dec, to provide exclusivity. The new range will bring about newness and product excitement during the festive season. We convey our best wishes and festive greetings to all our customers and hope to delight their families with the Toyota experience.”

The new Fortuner TRD Sportivo Limited Edition SUV features the same engine specifications of the present model and comes with a number of eye catching cosmetic modifications, such as mannish front and rear bumpers along with sporty spoilers at both the ends. The Limited Edition SUV flaunts an aerodynamic styling coupled with a more futuristic and macho front fascia. The premium SUV comes in two colour choices, namely Silver Mica Metallic and Super White. Accordingly, the trimming of a new sporty look to the already visually appealing SUV seems to have been driven by the desire to lend the vehicle a unique identity and to augment the road presence of the vehicle.

The TRD Sportivo badging stands for Toyota Racing Development and the Japanese auto maker has regularly introduced limited edition versions of its popular cars in the Indian passenger car market. In July 2012, TKMPL introduced the Limited Edition Etios Liva TRD Sportivo hatchback and recently brought the Etios TRD Sportivo sedan to scorch the Indian roads. The other TKMPL products introduced in limited numbers and dedicated at the domestic scene are the Corolla Altis Aero sedan, Innova Aero Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) and the limited edition model of the Corolla Altis.
