      Toyota stands at top of global vehicle sales with 7.61 million vehicles sold till September this year

      Japanese carmaker Toyota has been a global favorite among the car buying lot. The carmaker has been known to deliver some of the most refined cars across segments that come with uncompromising safety standards and quality. Across the global market, Toyota has been facing stiff competition from other big brands like Volkswagen and General Motors. This time around, Toyota ranks on top with 7.615 million cars sold in the first nine months i.e till September, 2014.

      Speaking more on the occasion, James Chao, a Shanghai-based director at IHS Automotive, said, “It’s a fantastic race, with their strengths coming in different parts of the world.” Bloomberg further added, “You see the U.S. coming back quite strongly for Toyota, and then you see the great engine of growth for Volkswagen being China, which is continuing to perform.” Toyota reportedly plans on selling about 10.2 million vehicles this year as compared to 9.98 million vehicles that were sold last year. If the intended numbers are achieved, Toyota may likely create a new record in Auto industry sales.

      Hotsellers like Camry sedan, Prius hybrid and Lexus luxury models has been generating good sales numbers for the brand in the international market. Toyota not just faces competition in the domestic market, it also faces strong competition from its competitors in U.S, Europe, new emerging markets of China and the rest of Asia.
