Hyundai's Verna has been a popular pick among sedans under the Rs. 10 Lakhs segment in the country. The sedan imbibed with Fluidic design philosophy has managed to stand apart among its competitors in its segment. For a while now, Hyundai has been planning on launching a face-lifted version of Hyundai Verna for the domestic market. As per fresh updates, the newer version of Hyundai Verna is likely to be launched in the domestic market sometime in January next year.
As for changes in the upcoming face-lifted version of Verna, the sedan is likely to share some resemblance with the recently launched Russian version. Though the current version mesmerizes with its own charm, the newer version shall carry a totally newer look and appeal. For the front, the sedan may sport a new grill that compliments the aggressively styled headlamps, whereas the rear is likely to get redesigned sporty bumpers. The sedan is also likely to sport LED's this time around.
Pricing aspects has not been spoken about by the company yet and shall only be known at a later date, possibly days before the launch. The new Hyundai Verna shall be continued to be offered in petrol as well as diesel trims. It is also likely that Hyundai may offer a six-speed automatic gearbox instead of the current generation 4-speed automatic transmission. The petrol trim shall be powered by 1.4 Liter engine, whereas diesel may receive a 1.6 liter engine.
