Tokyo Motor Show 2017 Zagato IsoRivolta revealed

At the ongoing 2018 Tokyo Motor Show, the Milanese coachbuilder, Zagato, has taken wraps off the IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo. The hyper-realistic car was designed for the Sony PlayStation’s Gran Turismo Sport video game but is now promised a very limited production run in the real world.

The name pays tribute to the original Iso Rivolta grand touring coupe from the 1960s that featured a gorgeous design by Bertone. The IsoRivolta in actual metal was teased in Switzerland last month. Now the car is on display at the Japanese motor show. The show car looks apart with its fantasy styling and virtual realm’s design approach. It is sharp, flamboyant and has a very contemporary design. It appears to be straight out of a futuristic sci-fi movie.

The Zagato IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo that featured in the video game is built on a bespoke chassis. It is powered by the Chevrolet Corvette Callaway powertrain, which is a twin turbo 6.2-litre V8. The gearbox is the same ten-speed automatic/sequential from the Corvette. In the simulated domain, the power output is 997bhp with a top speed of 365kmph. Tipping the scale at 1129kilograms the IsoRivolta can accelerate from zero to 100kmmh in mere 2.7seconds.
