With the ever-worsening traffic conditions on the roads of India and a decline in profits with an increase in particular costs, the advancements in the automobile sector in India has always been limited. The models launched are the same, without many innovations. But, there are a few who try to differentiate themselves. These are the crossovers in the market. The Etios Cross and the Fiat Avventura belong to this category, rivaling out each other.
The Fiat Avventura has a length of 3989mm that is more than the Etios that has a length of 3895mm. The Etios cross is taller than the Avventura, with the former having a height of 1753mm and the latter with 1706mm. The Avventura has a boot space of 280 litres while the Etios Cross has a boot space of 250 litres.
The engine of both the diesel models has been compared, with Toyota failing to impress, in spite of having a 1.4 litre engine. The 1.3 litre engine on the Fiat has more power than the Etios Cross, with the former having a power of 93 ps and the later with 68 ps. The torque delivered by both the engines, also lets Etios Cross down with only 170NM and the Fiat with 209NM. The efficiency given by the engines helps Toyota win it with 23.59km/l and the Avventura with 20.5km/l.
In terms of the price, the Fiat Avventura has the least basic-model price at 6.89 lakhs, while the top-end model goes up till Rs. 8.17 lakhs. The Etios Cross, on the other hand, has a starting price of Rs. 6.9 lakhs and the top-end model has a price tag of Rs. 7.4 lakhs. It will be interesting to see as to which one gets a better response in the India market.
