The Tata Motors will be unveiling its new Jaguar-X16, the concept car in September, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. According to the reports, Tata Motors has announced that the new Jaguar is designed to epitomise automobile dynamics, design and technology. It is noted that Tata Motors India earns around $2.5 million profit annually from Jaguar Land Rover segment.

The new Jaguar model has been created by the same team of engineers who are behind the development of other models like XK, XJ and XF. Ian Callum, the Director of Design for Jaguar hinted that the new model of Jaguar highlights the future version of Jaguar sports car. He commented “Great Jaguars have always been beautiful, innovative and have looked firmly to the future. The finished C-X16 concept has the potential to do these things while retaining the ability to surprise, to excite and invigorate”. The new Jaguar promises to be everything that has been mentioned above and more.

It is predicted that the new Jaguar will introduce a XK chassis and a V-6 engine. The Tata Motors also assured that they have been working on redesigning the appearance of new Jaguar that has been criticised for the same. For this reason, Land Rover has done better in Britain than Jaguar.

Tata Motors India has invested about $ 3 billion in Jaguar Land Rover to recover from heavy losses. Along with the authority of one of the largest and expensive car segment, Tata Motors has also launched the world's cheapest car in home country India. However, the Tata Nano costing $2500 has not been performing well in the Indian automobile market due to the increase in loan interest rates.

Tata Motors India has revealed sketches of Jaguar-X16 as the unveiling of the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show is still a month away.
