The Indian auto giant Tata Motors is planning aggressively to pull large number of car enthusiasts at its pavilion during the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The major attraction at the company’s platform will be its future small car concept Pixel, that has been much anticipated among the car enthusiasts in the Indian market.
The company had introduced the pixel concept at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2011, where it had attracted a large number of car enthusiast. The Pixel city car is based on the platform of company’s popular small car Tata Nano, and it has been specially designed and developed for the European markets.
It is basically a rear- engine small car (same as in Nano) that will be rolled-out in both petrol and diesel version, powered by a three-cylinder petrol and a turbo-diesel engine. The Pixel model is expected to hit the Indian roads by year 2014, where it will be competing with the likes of Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon, etc. The car is expected to take the success of Nano model even further in the country.
The major attraction of the car includes newly designed scissor doors, fascinating large panoramic roof, unique rear-wheel counter-steering system etc. With a turning radius of 2.6 meter, the Tata Pixel is claimed to be offering a hassle-free driving experience in the heavy traffic conditions on congested city roads.
