Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India today reported 6 per cent growth in sales in March at 32,431 units.
The company had sold 30,594 units in the same month last year, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd ( SMIPL) said in a statement.
"Customer sentiment has been positive with regards to all Suzuki products in general and Gixxer in particular. Keeping in mind the evolving customer tastes, we intend to introduce a new product shortly," Suzuki Motorcycle India Executive Vice President Atul Gupta said.
Recently, Suzuki has launched the new Gixxer SF at a lucrative price tag of Rs. 83,889 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The bike is powered by a 154.9cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is mated to a five speed gearbox and is capable of producing a top power output of about 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of about 14 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
