      Indian cricket star MS Dhoni fined for riding a motorcycle that violates Motor Vehicle Act

      Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been known for his love for motorcycles apart from cricket. As a pleasant surprise, Dhoni was spotted riding his beloved vintage bullet BSA Gold Star DBD 34 bearing the registration number MHP 6518. Though spectators were pleased to catch his glimpse, the local traffic Police department did not seem to be too happy with the way his bike displayed by the reregistration numberplate.

      As per the Motor Vehicle Act says a vehicle should have its registration number displayed horizontally without obstruction on its rear as front in a manner that it is clearly visible. But in Dhoni's case the number featured on the bike's front mudguard in a manner that is not clearly visible from the front. Speaking more on the occasion, Traffic SP Kartik said, "The photo of the vehicle (published in newspapers) was brought to my notice. It violated rules related to display of numberplate. We had sent the chalan to his house and Dhoni's family paid the fine and said he violated the rules due to ignorance."

      Post impressive stint at the World Cup tournament, MS Dhoni shall thrill his fans during the ongoing IPL matches. The multi-starrer cricketing extravaganza began on the 8th of April, where the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders handed over a defeat to the Mumbai Indians. Dhoni and his men who represent  will begin the campaign on April 9 as they lock horns with Delhi Daredevils at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
