      Suzuki Motorcycle associates Salman Khan with its latest offering- Hayate

      On 25th May 2012, a mass segment motorcycle, Hayate, was launched by the Indian leg of world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers Suzuki Motor Corporation, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL). This is the first ever attempt by the SMIPL in the mass motorcycle segment. The company also announced its first ever brand ambassador in the country, the iconic actor Salman Khan. Hayate will be the first Suzuki motorcycle endorsed by the 'Dabangg' star. The actor with his huge fan base will lead the company's above-the-line and below-the-line activities. The recent brand slogan of the company, 'Apna way of life', mix well with the actor's national, cross-market and cross-segment appeal. Available in the market from this month, the new bike is high on both looks and performance factor and will be a hit with first time buyers.

      Vice President, Sales and Marketing, SMIPL, Atul Gupta, said at the launch ceremony, “The 100-110 cc motorcycle segment is a promising market with tremendous growth potential. With Hayate’s entry, we intend to explore new opportunities and look at a larger market share in the two-wheeler segment. The launch of Hayate is an opportunity to address emerging markets in small town clusters as well as semi-urban and rural peripheries.”

      Gupta added, “We are delighted to have Mr. Salman Khan associating with one of the world’s most iconic two-wheeler brands. As we expand our portfolio, it was important to find a human face who can best portray and project our brand and product promise. His mass appeal, cutting across segments, complements the mass appeal of Suzuki.”

      Fresh Breeze or Swift Wind is the literal meaning of the Japanese word 'Hayate'. It is a value packed offering from the company which was built to ensure comfort and make daily commuting a fun exercise. The bike come with 4-stroke, 112 cc powertrain, which is air cooled offering a snappy drive. It offers great fuel efficiency to daily commuters with an 8 litre fuel tank and a great mileage. Giving it a sleek and modern look, Hayate features aggressive headlight, new-age fender and stylish rear lights. It has drum brakes on both the wheels and features aluminium cast wheels. Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Lush Green, Pearl Mira Red, Metallic Flint Grey and GL Sparkle Black are the colour options available in Hayate.
