      Suzuki Gixxer wins the Indian Bike of the year tag, out-beats KTM RC390

      There have been a number of bike launches in 2014, which have been able to impress the enthusiasts and customers, alike. However, Suzuki Gixxer has been awarded as the Bike of the Year by Autocar India and Bloomberg TV. The premium 150 cc challenger bike has been able to impress thousands of bike lovers. The competition in this segment has been increased by a fair margin by the entry of this bike.

      The bike was launched in September and has been growing in popularity ever since. It is powered by a 154.9 cc engine, which produces 14.8 PS power and a torque output of 14 Nm. The bike gives a superb position while driving and inspires confidence while riding. This bike challenged the likes of the fuel-injection Yamaha FZ-S V2. Incidentally, there were other awards at the ceremony as well. The best import bike of the year was given to Triumph Daytona 675R. The top Premium Bike of the Year was given to Harley Davidson Street 750. The KTM RC 390 was adjudged as the Viewer’s Choice Bike of the Year. The rivalry between RC 390 and Gixxer was tough; however, it was Gixxer, which emerged as the winner.
