The much awaited Suzuki Gixxer SF bike is all set to hit the roads. It will make its debut for the fans in India on April 7th. Dealers have reportedly started taking up bookings for the new bike. This bike was much anticipated by the Indian bike lovers and the dealers said that there some quite a hype regarding the new model.
The fully-faired Gixxer SF has reached the showrooms of the company. Bookings have already reportedly been initiated with a down payment of about Rs 5000. It is likely that the new model will be priced around Rs. 90000. The styling aspects of the new model remain almost the same when it is compared with its sibling, the Gixxer 155. The only new aspects are the fully front fairing and the larger windshield. The front tyre gets a telescopic suspension while the rear tyre has been provided with a mono suspension like the initial model.
The new trim is likely to be powered by the existing 154.9 cc, four-stroke mono cylinder air-cooled engine. The power generated from the bike is 14.8 PS at the rate of 8000 rpm. The peak torque generated from the bike is at about 14 Nm at the rate of 6000 rpm. Mated with a five-speed gearbox, the Suzuki Eco Performance has also been kept in place from its predecessor. There have been no changes in the riding position or the handle bar in the Gixxer SF. It will compete against the Honda CBR and the Yamaha Fazer, once launched.
