      Suzuki Gixxer launched in traditional racing colours

      In a bid to cash-in on the upcoming festive season, Suzuki India has launched its popular commuter – Gixxer – in dual-tone traditional racing colours. The naked version of the bike is now available in 2 new dual shades - Candy Antares Red with Glass Sparkle Black (APS) and Metallic Triton Blue with Pearl Mirage White (BAQ) - at Rs. 85,729 (on road, New Delhi). Whereas, the regular 4 single tone variants - Metallic Oort Grey (YHG), Metallic Triton Blue (YSF), Candy Antares Red (19A) and Glass Sparkle Black (YVB) – are available at Rs. 84,634 (on road, New Delhi).

      The updated model also receives new body graphics that add more to its sporty appeal. Features like new clear lens turn signals, new key mascot with signature Suzuki ‘S’ badge, and side frames that complement the new dual-shade schemes are on offer. The new Gixxer also comes equipped with LED taillights, 7-step adjustable rear monoshock suspension, and a digital instrument console that displays engine temperature, gear position, fuel level, speed and engine rpm.

      Powering the racing coloured-Suzuki Gixxer is a 154.9cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder air-cooled SOHC engine that also does duty to the regular variants. It is capable to churn out a maximum power of 14bhp at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This engine is boasted with Carburetor fuel system, and is mated to a 5-speed transmission that help the bike achieve a top speed above 120kmph.

      The Suzuki Gixxer takes on the likes of Honda Unicorn 160, Yamaha FZ-S FI and Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS.
