      Skoda to unveil new design language and logo

      Skoda Auto, a fully owned unit of German auto maker Volkswagen, announced that it will launch new corporate design and logo at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. The auto maker will also unveil a new concept car highlighting the Skoda's new design language for all new cars in near future. The move has been taken in the view of massive growth registered by the group in the global market in calendar year 2010. The company is now aiming to register a two-fold increase in its sales by year 2018, worldwide.

      The company will use the new logo globally on all of its portfolio vehicles from year 2012. The new Skoda brand logo will replace the traditional winged arrow logo. The new logo is claimed to carry a more distinct and precise and will include a new spectrum of colors. Besides the car, the Skoda dealerships worldwide will also get an all new corporate design, leading to redesigning of the layouts of showrooms.

      Moreover, the design language of the car maker is expected to get a complete makeover, marking a departure from the present design language of the company. The company will also roll-out an special edition of its  Skoda Fabia model – Fabia Monte Carlo – that will come blessed with a sport-oriented chassis, and a distinct look.
