      Skoda ready to launch Citigo small car in Czech Republic by December end

      In a bid to boost its sales figures and mark its presence the small car segment, the premium car maker Skoda Auto is all set to launch its much awaited Citigo small car in its domestic market by the end of this month. After analyzing the initial response of the customers in Czech Republic, the company will export this car to a number of foreign markets by June 2012.

      The car will be rolled-out in petrol version only with two engine power variants including 44 kW and 55 kW. A five speed manual transmission will be default in all variants of the Citigo small car. The USP of the car will be its considerably higher fuel economy and a comfortably spacious cabin. Top speed of the car is 160 kmph.

      Carrying a length of 3.56 meters, the width and height of the Citigo model will be 1.65 meters in width and 1.48 meters. The designers of Skoda Citigo have made sure that the interior space of the car should be having very comfortable sitting for all the passengers. And also every inch of the car has been utilized by offering a number of storage spaces including Cup holders, bag hooks, storage pockets, photograph holders, etc. The wheel base of the car is 2.42 meters.
