The Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi has recalled its new version of A6 sedan after complains of faulty airbags. The Audi A6 lightweight model was launched in the global market in the starting of this year. According to the company, the Audi A6 sedans with problematic airbags were among the car which were manufactured between 26 May and 8 April in the current year.  In total, the company has recalled 314 units of Audi A6 lightweight variant that are expected to be affected by this fault.

The customers will soon be notified of this recall, and for the fixing of this problem free of cost, they can visit their nearby Audi service station. According to the company, the faulty airbags in the A6 sedan need to be replaced to avoid any risk, though the company hasn’t received reports of any incidents that have occurred due to these faulty airbags.

While further elaborating the issue with the faulty airbag, the company said that the airbags installed in the side portion of the Audi A6 Lightweight sedan, have been stitched in a wrong manner, which can cause a problem in deployment of these airbags, during the impact. Moreover, it is possible that the airbag may not deploy, which can result in serious injuries during sudden collapse of the vehicle.
