German car maker Audi launched its iconic muscular super sportscar RS 7 on January 6 in the domestic auto market. What's more intriguing than this launch is the first person who got his hands on this immaculate piece of beauty. Interestingly, superstar Salman Khan is the proud owner of first Audi RS 7 in India. The legend was present at the official launch ceremony with Audi India's Head Joe King. This cinema heartthrob has won billion hearts with his acting and now he attempts to be the role model for sportscar enthusiasts of the world. The humbleness of this celebrity could be seen when he made the audience aware about the risks of driving cars at high speed.

During the presentation ceremony, King exuberantly said, “After the overwhelming response to our Audi RS 5, which further boosted our leadership in the luxury sports car segment, we are confident the new Audi RS 7 Sportback with its aesthetic design and impressive sportiness would establish new benchmarks in the performance sports car segment.” Indeed it was an exulting experience for both the company and Salman Khan to witness the curtain raising from Audi RS 7. Seemingly, the sharp minds of Audi India chose the right person and right platform to publicise its car.

Audi RS 7 is claimed to be the most powerful car by the company and interestingly, its configuration is like of a sedan. Experts believe this car to be a lethal injection of pure adrenaline rush, which produces a mammoth 552 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque with the help of a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine. Long roads are no match to the power of this high-octane car, which can attain 0-100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds with a capability to achieve 305 kmph of top speed. Audi RS 7 is aerodynamically equipped with chiselled flares on its layout to cut through air at high speed, and maintain a stable driving experience. The car is a complete path annihilator, which leaves treads of tyre when accelerated. Such a vehicle is not expected to cost moderately and thus, Audi RS 7 comes at a price tag of massive Rs. 1.29 crore.

Notably, owning such an enthralling car is a dream come true for the celebrity. At the presentation he did not forget to promote his upcoming flick called Jai Ho. This film is a remake of a southern India blockbuster movie called Stalin. Apparently, Audi and Salman Khan do share similarities where the latter has had a successful year in his acting career and former was recently crowned as the largest luxury car manufacturer of 2013 in the Indian auto market. Speaking about this achievement, Joe King further added, “We started the year with the historic achievement of becoming the first luxury car maker to achieve 10,000 unit sales in 2013. The market may not be very consumer-friendly in the first half due to elections but post-elections we will see a possible growth.”
