The sales numbers for Royal Enfield in the month of June, 2014 prove why this brand has been the country's favorite thumper. As per the sales report for the month of June, Royal Enfield has recorded a sale of about 25,303 units, the numbers are cumulative that include domestic wholesale and exports sales numbers. In terms of percentage, it can be seen as 83% growth as against 13,806 units being sold in the same time last year.
The growth in numbers may also be due to the recent style quotient upgrades that has rendered the bikes with new interesting logos and stripes across the Classic 350 and 500 variants. The new color shading has also been used in Thunderbird 350 and 500 variants. The upgrades are purely cosmetic in nature and no mechanical upgrades have been done this time. The revamped Orgadam facility has the capacity to produce over 10,000 units every month and has been effective in significantly contributing to the production volumes.
The Classic 350 shall now feature new interesting shades of Lagoon(Blue) and Ash(White), along with the existing Classic Black and Classic Silver. The Classic 500 shall now feature Classic Tan as a replacement for the ‘Teal Green’. The Thunderbird 350cc and 500cc have received interesting shades of Lightning (brown) and Marine (blue) along with the existing Stone shade that was only restricted to Thunderbird 500.
The new website set up by Royal Enfield has announced the launch of new brand logo, monogram and crest. The newer logo version has been tweaked to bring out a modern approach that the company intends to project. From 1955 to till day, the brand has been using the previous logo and the newer one brings out a fresher outlook.
