      Royal Enfield launches limited edition bikes Classic Chrome and Desert Storm

      The premium bike maker Royal Enfield on Thursday launched new limited editions of its premium bikes in the Indian market. The company rolled out two limited edition of its leisure bikes Classic Chrome and Desert Strom in Mumbai.
      Speaking at the launching ceremony, Royal Enfield’s senior vice president (sales and marketing) Shaji Koshy said, “Our customers have been demanding the Chrome model of Royal Enfield for quite some time now. Both Classic Chrome and Desert Strom are meant to bring more thrills to the customer."

      The Classic Chrome is an updated version of the 2009 Royal Enfield Classic, which now features with chrome tank, wide mud guards and oval tool box. Equipped with 500cc twin-spark engine, the Classic Chrome model is capable of delivering a peak power of 27.2 bhp. It carries a price tag of Rs.1,65,400.

      On the other hand, Desert Storm, which shares the same engine unit available in Classic Chrome, carries a price tag of Rs.1,58,200.

      While further informing about the new limited editions, Mr. Koshy said, "Following the launch of Classic 350 and 500cc in September 2009, we have been continuously equipping our dealerships to take customer satisfaction to the next level. In 2011, we have added 15 dealerships and one brand store to our existing network.”
