The long wait of a large number of buyers, who were waiting for the all new Hyundai Eon’s bookings to be opened, is over now. Hyundai Motors India Limited will be commencing to receive bookings for the car in the Indian market from today onwards, as announced by the company on Friday.
The Hyundai Eon is expected to give a tough fight to the country’s best selling car Maruti Alto, with a competitive price tag and a range of new age technological features. The launch of Eon in this festive season is expected to give a strong opening to the car in the country. Carrying a starting price tag of Rs 2.5 lakh, the all new Hyundai Eon is expected to be seen among the sales chart toppers in the Indian market.
The new Hyundai small car will come powered by an 800 cc engine, and will be positioned below the segment of Hyundai Santro Xing. With the launch of Eon, the company will try to repeat the success achieved by Maruti’s iconic 800 model.
The Hyundai Eon will be carrying a fascinatingly stylish body that is blessed with the Hyundai’s fluidic design language, the same which was incorporated in the recently launched Verna sedan. Hyundai India’s R&D facility in Hyderabad has worked in coordination with firm’s Namyang R&D centre located in the Gyeonggi Province in South Korea, where the car has been designed.
