Popular actor Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) has reportedly sold his McLaren F1 sports car for an astonishing 8 Million pounds. The vehicle is over 18 years old and has covered over 41,000 miles, moreover it has also been involved twice in major crashes. The actor bought the vehicle way back in 1997 for about £640,000.
David Clark, a specialist car dealer who originally sold the rare vehicle to the actor said to Sun newspaper, “Everyone is very pleased with the sale. There was interest from around the world and it has gone to a British buyer who will drive it like Rowan did. It is one of the biggest ever deals in the UK. Rowan is pleased, but also maybe a bit sad as he did 40,000 miles in it.”
The vehicle was first crashed way back in October 1999 in Lancashire wherein it unploughed back of a rover Metro. And again in 2011, the vehicle crashed when navigating a slippery bend.
