Renault Duster was first introduced in the country some two years back and it has become one of the most favourite cars in this period. The model has been one of the best-selling cars in its segment with impressive sales reports coming from all quarters of the nation. Incidentally, the car was surprisingly capacious and extremely comfortable, both on freeways as well as urban roads. Adding to this were the ultra-cool looks, sophisticated features and the flashy colours – Renault Duster had it all to make it big. The car has made the most of it and even surpassed the expectations at some level. Riding high on its flowing success, Renault has now launched an all-new All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant for the Duster. The new models, Duster RxL and RxZ, will be available at the price tags of 11,89,499 lakhs INR and 12,99,499 lakhs INR (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
The features of this car remain more or less the same as the old variant of Duster. A 1.5 dCi CRDi diesel engine has been employed to power the car, which churns out nearly 110 PS at the rate of 4000 rpm. The maximum torque output from this car is 245 Nm at the rate of 1750 rpm. The weight has been evenly distributed towards the wider dimension of the car, thus maintaining an impressive power to weight ratio for the model. The wheels get the firepower from the engine through a 6-speed manual transmission. Renault has claimed that the mileage for this car is an impressive 19.72 kilometres per litre under favourable conditions. The Duster AWD will feature an Eco Mode option, which will reduce the fuel consumption by 10 per cent. The All-Wheel Drive option is a new aspect and will be available in three different modes, 4WD, Auto and 2WD. These new features will definitely add to the USPs of the car and further improve its position in the market down the line.
