Individuals close to the news have revealed that the auto maker has touted this car as the most powerful Land Rover ever made in the history. It must be noted that the previous generation model of Range Rover Sport was designed on the Land Rover Discovery, unlike the upcoming model, which is said to be a completely new model. The designing chassis of next generation Range Rover Sport uses an all-aluminium structure, which has helped the model to save weight up to 420 kg. Industry experts are of a view that this move has not just improved the dynamics of the car, but also resulted in better performance. Considering the overall looks of the upcoming car, Range Rover Sport happens to be a blend of new Range Rover and Evoque.

In order to cater the demands of a large section of society, Land Rover will be offering its both petrol and diesel engine options. On the grounds of technical specifications of the yet to be launched car, industry experts believe that the petrol version will come equipped with a 5-litre supercharged V8 engine, churning out a peak power output of 515 bhp and maximum torque of 625 Nm. With this performance oriented motor, the petrol version will clock 100 kmph from 0 in around 5 seconds, achieving a top speed of 250 kmph. In addition, the diesel variant will be incorporated with a 3.0-litre diesel engine, which will produce a highest power of 294 bhp and torque of up to 600 Nm. With such a brilliant output, the diesel variant will smoothly glide from initial to 100 kmph in around 7 seconds, clocking a top speed of over 220 kmph.

Reportedly, the new Range Rover Sport will get an additional row of seats, which will make it a seven-seater car. With all these advancements and much appreciated modifications, the upcoming Range Rover Sport is expected to be offered in a price bracket of Rs. 1 crore and Rs. 1.25 crore. Industry experts are of a view that the launch of a new model just around the festive season seems a intelligent move by the British auto maker.
