Range Rover Evoque, the much awaited luxury sports utility vehicle, is speculated to hit the Indian roads by the end of this calendar year. The Evoque model will be showcased at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Expo in September this year, where it is expected to attract a large number of car enthusiasts and visitors.
The Range Rover Evoque is one of the newest entrants in Land rover’s global portfolio. The crossover will come blessed with a futuristic design and a range of advanced technological features. The major attractions of the Range Rover’s design include the floating roof-line, the steeply raked rear profile, etc.
As far as pricing of the Range Rover Evoque is concerned, the crossover is expected to hit the Indian roads in the price range of Rs 35 to 40 lakh. However, the company is yet to announce the pricing figures of the vehicle for the Indian market.
Powered by a 2.2L diesel engine, the vehicle is available with two engine power options including 150 PS or 190 PS (with turbocharger). Once launched in the Indian market, the company may decide to assemble the vehicle in the country itself, so that its pricing can be made more competitive.
Land Rover is currently owned by domestic auto giant Tata Motors that had acquired it from Ford Motors in year 2008. The British luxury car brand, which was a loss making firm about 2 years back, has been performing considerably well since it has been acquired by the Tata’s.
