Mahindra XUV500, which is Mahindra & Mahindra's best selling car of the year, is already being sold in foreign market. It was recently launched in Italy; therefore, expectations are high that the mini SUV will also soon make its debut in the foreign market. However, it will take around four to five months before Quanto would be shipped to Italy and then to other European market.

During the launch, Mahindra had stated that Quanto will be produced from their Nasik manufacturing plant, where 2,500 units of Quanto would be manufactured every month. Mahindra Xylo is also manufactured at the same plant and 7,000 units of Quanto and Xylo together roll out of this manufacturing unit every month. This will be further increased to cater to the tremendous demands of Quanto in the country and for its exports to foreign market.

It is expected that Quanto would begin selling in Italy by the end of 2012 or beginning of 2013. It is also believed that Quanto would be showcased at the Bologna Motor Show later in 2012.

Mahindra Quanto comes with a 1.5 litre 3 cylinder engine in the country and this mini SUV is the smallest diesel motor that houses a twin turbocharger. When launched in the foreign market, it is expected that Quanto will come with more powerful engine.
