      Over 700 Harley riders gather at Pushkar for the Biggest Zonal H.O.G. Rally

      The location of Pushkar in Rajasthan became a witness to the grand occasion of over 700 Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The city played host to the third edition of the northern H.O.G rally, which was held from 7th to 9th November, 2014. Over 700 Harley owners from across the country and spreading over 13 H.O.G. chapters took active part in this celebration. Thus, this event emerged as the biggest zonal occasion till date.

      The riders were greeted warmly and they spent an exciting three days with a lot of entertaining activities. They took part in a camping spree amidst the unending sand dunes and also took part in adventure sports like hot air ballooning and riding helicopters. Pushkar also took care of its guests with utmost grace playing the perfect host. Apart from these events, arm wrestling competitions, a fusion music-night and pre-ride motorcycle maintenance workshop was also organised.

      A competition was also organised during this event where the inspiration, creativity and passion is put to test for every rider on their Harley motorcycles. Every edition of the H.O.G. rally is incomplete without this competition. The desire to make a personal statement with customisation is put to test during this competition and the zeal for maintaining the statement of Harley-Davidson is checked. All riders were eagerly waiting to showcase their enthusiasm and support for this competition.

      The principal dealer of Dunes Harley-Davidson, Utkarsh Baxi, said, “Leisure motorcycling culture has always been popular in Rajasthan and since the opening of Dunes Harley-Davidson last year, we have seen the culture grow.       The Director of the Dunes chapter in Jaipur, Deepesh Tanwar was also present at the meet. He said, “It was great to see Harley owners ride long distances to join the brotherhood in Pushkar, Rajasthan. We look forward to organizing many such rallies in Rajasthan and inspire new and experienced riders alike to ride more and get more out of their journey of finding freedom and celebrating self-expression on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles.”

      This was definitely not all for the Harley owners and they were in for a visual treat as the recently launched Harley-Davidson, Breakout was on display. This cruiser motorcycle, which is based on the popular Softail platform, grabbed a plethora eyeballs at the third edition of the Northern H.O.G. rally.

      The H.O.G. rallies on a Zonal basis, takes place every year, mostly during the riding season, from September to March. This is the perfect time for touring across the country because of friendly riding conditions. The third edition of the Eastern H.O.G. Rally will take place in Khajuraho during the month of December, 2014.
