The Civic sedan from Honda has been a hot favorite among global car buyers. This time around sources have managed to click pictures of the next-gen trim just ahead of its official unveiling. The new Honda Civic is stated to be based on the current Accord platform. As seen in pictures, though sporty, it does seem to get a lesser aggressive stance as compared to the one seen in sketches.
The new Honda Civic is expected to be powered by a 1.5-Litre VTEC engine. As per sources, the company may discontinue Civic Hybrid and Civic NGV trims and may add sporty Civic Type R model to its line-up. In terms of design, the vehicle gets ‘flying H’ design with angular designed headlamps that compliments the grill. As for the rear, the vehicle gets redesigned tail-lamps that offer it a fresh new appeal.
In India, the model was discontinued owing to a steep drop in sales and rising demand for the City sedan. The next-gen Honda Civic is expected to be more fuel efficiency and offer enhanced drivability than the older generation. The pricing and other details shall be known at a later date.
