South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has finally lifted curtains off its new vehicle, the 2016 Tucson Crossover. Unveiled at the ongoing New York International Auto Show, this car is expected to hit showrooms in the Indian market due to the performance of previous versions in the subcontinent. Sporty, exciting and attractive, the new model is a symbol of class as compared to the previous one, which was all about muscle.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson features the signature hexagonal grille from the automaker that is similar to Santa Fe Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). In order to improve the cabin space and comfort, Hyundai has made the new Tucson longer and wider. The new model has a cargo capacity of 870 litres, which is 140 litres more than the previous model. Additionally, the rear tailgate has been redone to make loading/unloading easier.

Taking care of driving in rough terrains, Hyundai has provided an all-wheel drive system in the Tucson that is driver selectable. This driving mode splits the torque between rear and front wheels, which facilitates better movement in indifferent terrains. Not only this, 2016 Hyundai Tucson is employed with a mounting structure that absorbs shocks through optimisation of vibration-prone panels, which increase the rigidity by over a hundred per cent and diminish noise levels of roads.

Hyundai has sought to improve the precision of Tucson’s handling without compromising on the ride quality. Interiors of this car feature a five-inch colour LCD display system with a rear-view, which increases the convenience of the driver.
