Renowned two-wheeler and superbike manufacturer Kawasaki has been rather upbeat with its series of teasers and advertising campaign as a part of the promotion for Ninja H2R. The teasers and advertisements have been doing the rounds for quite some time, which has caught the eyes of most bike lovers. On the flip side, it has also motivated its competitors to follow its pathway. Yamaha, one of the major competitors has started its own series of teasers for its upcoming superbike. The Japanese manufacturer is all set to unveil one of its new models at the EICMA show, scheduled for later this year in Milan. The teasers portray the silhouette and a number of action shots of the new superbike from the house of Yamaha.

The video, which has been officially released, shows a number of motorcycle sketches as well as a few insights into the on-track footage of the all new superbike. Yamaha has been bold enough to reveal a one-sided swingarm and its Ohlins forks. Interestingly, the bike has a strange resemblance with the Kawasaki Ninja H2R. On one hand, this might be due to the reason that the new superbike will be pitted against the H2R, while on the other, the bike may actually look like H2R.

There have been speculations about the possibility of the new bike, which can be YZF-R1, as suggested by many. The Japanese media had said earlier, that a new Yamaha R1 was on its way and the video confirms that news to the core. One interesting aspect that has already surprise bike lovers as well as experts is that the new teaser does not show an underseat exhaust for the new bike. This feature has been a part of the Yamaha range of bikes, especially YZF-R1 for a long period.

Apart from the YZF-R1, the other bike, which is due for an updated version is the YZF-R6. There are chances that the video might be a teaser for this bike, as well. On the other hand, Kawasaki has recently launched another video, where the road-legal variant of Ninja H2R was showcased. It will definitely be toned down from it track version to make it adapt to roads. There is a string possibility that the video released by Yamaha is that of YZF-R1. If that comes out to be true, the EICMA event in November will become a battleground for the two Japanese manufacturers, thus making the Milan show all the more interesting for bike lovers.
