At the first stance, the car gives the impression of a coupe but the five-doors, roof descending towards the rear with an elongated bonnet and frameless side windows definitely segments it as a luxury estate wagon.

Mr. Gorden Wagener, Head of Design, Mercedes-Benz, quoted that the car is step ahead to the automaker’s zest for stylish sportiness oriented towards aesthetic, avant-garde principles.

The magnificent designing grafted on the luggage compartment floor is engraved with natural wood made of American Cherry tree blending aptly with the inlaid dark smoked oak and classy aluminium rails with rubber inserts to protect the wooden floor and has anti-slip properties. This wooden luggage compartment has a storage capacity ranging from 590 litres to 1550 litres.

With a package of customisation options offered with this new CLS Shooting Brake, the car will also be made available in five exciting interior colour options along with five trim designs and three leather qualities. The Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts can choose among the three excusive wood types- high-gloss brown burr walnut, high-gloss black ash and satin-finish light-brown poplar.

The car is available in two diesel and two petrol engine options with 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission. The two six-cylinder models, CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY outpour top power of 265hp and 306hp. Featured with combination of LED technology in the Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Active Park Assist and loads of driving assistance systems, the CLS Shooting Brake takes the innovation in the auto industry to the next level.
