Honda Siel Cars India shall roll out its new model of Honda City in India. Honda City is one of the most popular cars in the mid-sized sedan segment in India. The next generation Honda City shall is expected to make its debut sometime between September to November 2008 in India. Earlier, the car was expected in August 2008 but there is no news of the car in the market. The new Honda City carries the looks of European version of Honda Civic which is much sleeker. The new model has a higher roofline and the front end has inspired looks from recent Honda models like Honda FCX City. The new version is expected to be pricier as well than its current version.

The new model shall also have newly designed G-CON structure with a new line up of power train. It may also have paddle shift gear option on steering which means driver would not need to use clutch pedal. It would also have its standard features like multi-airbags, integrated music system, anti-lock braking system, temperature control and electronically adjustable front seats.

“We are looking at standardising the G-CON body, ABS, I-Vtec engines and few other technical features in all our future cars. It’s part our commitment to provide world-class products to the Indian market,” says Honda Siel Cars India president and CEO Masahiro Takedagawa.
