Chevrolet, a popular car brand of US based leading car maker General Motors, has revealed their all new premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) – Chevrolet Trailblazer. The SUV will be unveiled globally at the Bangkok motor show, scheduled to commence from next week. The Chevrolet Trailblazer is most likely to find a space in the company’s India portfolio in next one year or so, where it will be taking on with the rivals like Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Honda CR-V, Renault Koleos and Mahindra Ssangyong’s upcoming Korando and Raxton.
At the heart, the Trailblazer will come powered by optional 2.5L and 2.8L engines, which will be delivering a peak power of 150 bhp and 180 bhp. Interestingly, the 2.8L engine of the SUV will be generating about 10 kgm more (47.9 Kgm) as compared to the torque of segment leader Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
Chevrolet Trailblazer is a part of General Motors’ US$ 2-billion global program, and is claimed to be the cleanest truck designed by the company in its more than 100 years of operations. As per a statement given by GM’s director of design Matt Noone, “It’s an authentic third row where people can sit comfortably for long trips.”
