Chevrolet Cruze, a popular premium sedan in the Indian market, will soon be launched in a new generation version in the Indian market. General Motors India is planning to launch the car with a new diesel engine which will not only be more powerful as compared to the previous one, but will also deliver a lesser carbon emission.
As per the industry reports, the new Cruze sedan will come powered by a 2.0L diesel engine, to which the company is testing for the Indian conditions. The all new Chevrolet Cruze, powered by new highly efficient and more powerful engine, will be able to compete more promptly with the rivals like Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Laura, Honda Civic, etc.
The recent media reports related to the upcoming engine of the new Cruze, the prospective engine is currently under intense testing in the extreme temperature conditions varying form -40 degree Celsius to 70 degree Celsius.
At present, Chevrolet Cruze come powered by a 2.0L VCDi engine that delivers a peak power of 148 bhp and delivers a fuel economy in the range of 14 km per liter to 18 km per liter.
