German carmaker BMW has been a favorite automotive brand across the globe. Fresh news has emerged that the carmaker has been planning to introduce a 3-cylinder petrol engine that would serve the 5-door and 3-door variants in the 118i trims. Sources have indicated that the vehicle would be up for sales from July this year and is likely to be offered at a starting price tag of about Rs 20 lakh (£20,245).
BMW 1 Series
the new 3-cylinder engine under the hood would be capable of generating about 136 Hp and is capable of accelerating from 0 – 100 Mph in just about 8.5 seconds. The current trims are offered in five diesel and four petrol engine options. More details about the upcoming vehicle shall be revealed by the company at a later date.
