Mercedes-Benz India the recently rolled-out three new cars – S500 Coupe, S63 Coupe and G63 AMG Crazy Color Edition - will launch the S63 AMG sedan tomorrow (August 11, 2015). The S63 AMG sedan will be the ninth of the 15 new Mercedes-Benz models to be launched in India this year.
Power for the S63 AMG sedan comes from a 5.5-litre V8 Bi-Turbo petrol engine that is paired to a 7-speed AMG speedshift sports transmission. This engine delivers a whooping 567bhp and 900Nm. It can accelerate 0-100kmph in 4.4 seconds, while maintaining a top speed of 250kmph. Though, there is no clarity if the India-bound model will get the 4MATIC all wheel drive system or not.
This performance sedan will be offered with Designo program for exterior and interior customization. Features on offer will be AMG Sports steering wheel, animated instrument console with AMG badging, aluminum shift paddles, AMG sports seats with heating function and electrical adjustment. On the exterior, the car will feature sporty front bumper, large air intakes, 20-inches AMG titanium alloy wheels, rear bumper with in-built diffuser and AMG sports exhaust.
Similar to its Coupe sibling, the S63 AMG sedan will be imported as a CBU (completely built up) unit in India. It will compete against the Maserati Quattraporte, BMW 760Li, Bentley Flying and Continental Flying Spur.
