The Stuttgart based luxury auto maker, Mercedes Benz seems to be aggressive on strengthening presence of its performance oriented AMG variants in domestic market. After bringing six models in AMG versions- the auto maker is now gearing up to roll out seventh model in AMG avatar-CLA45 AMG. Buzz has it that Mercedes Benz India could launch CLA 45 AMG in India in the month of July or August. Certain details have also been updated on the official website of Mercedes Benz India regarding the upcoming vehicle. The four-door sports coupe is expected to come with an affordable price tag and rumours suggest that this would be the least priced model in AMG range. The company will bring new CLA45 AMG in India as a completely built unit and is expected to be priced at Rs 70 lakh. The CLA45 AMG saloon will come with a three-stage ESP with Curve Dynamic Assist and aerodynamic front and rear bumpers with carbon fibre trims and several other AMG performance parts.
The front fascia of the sedan resembles with the CLS, coupe style roofline further enhances the overall outer semblance of the vehicle. An AMG body kit with quad exhausts will be offered on the CLA45. Inside the cabin, an AMG style steering wheel, performance seat in the front and rear, carbon fibre trim and metallic paddle shifters will be seen. Besides this, jet inspired air-con vents and red illuminated instrumentation panel will also be present in the cabin. Among the vital safety features nine airbags, Adaptive Brake with Hold function and Attention Assist have been bestowed on CLA45 AMG.
Mercedes Benz has housed a robust 2.0 litre in-line 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine that yields a top power and torque output of 355 Hp and 450 Nm respectively. The mill is paired to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed gearbox. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a Mercedes’ 4MATIC system. The powerful engine is capable of sprinting the vehicle from 0 to 100 kmph within 4.6 seconds and attain a controlled speed of 250 kmph.
