Maruti Vitara Brezza will become the new segment leader, atlas from it seems so. The Vitara Brezza (also known as YBA), has been built of Suzuki’s new fifth generation platform, which is lighter by 100 kilograms than the currently used Swift platform. This new platform despite being lighter is a lot stronger and this makes it safer too. Because it is lighter, it will be powered by a 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces 90bhp of power and 210Nm of peak torque.
The Vitara Brezza will be the new SUV that shall compete with the Ford Ecosport and the Mahindra TUV300. The Vitara Brezza will be coming with SHVS (smart hybrid vehicle by Suzuki), which will make it a lot more fuel efficient than the competition. With the lighter body weight, the Vitara Brezza shall be a lot more efficient also.
The Vitara Brezza will be the second new product from Maruti Suzuki on this new platform and it will be retailed from Nexa Experience dealerships. The Vitara Brezza will get features like keyless entry, push start and stop button, reverse parking camera, satellite navigation and it will be priced between Rs 8-11 lakhs. The Vitara Brezza will be making its way into Indian car market sometime early next year. This will make it a highly fuel efficient SUV and feature loaded too. The way Hyundai stormed the SUV segment with the Creta, Maruti is likely to do the same with the Vitara Brezza.
