Maruti Suzuki offered the Celerio hatchback as the most affordable hatchback with an AMT transmission in the Indian market. Just about a month ago, Maruti Suzuki had launched the Celerio VXi+ trim with a fresh set of features. Back then, the company had also offered additional features valued at about Rs. 20,000 for VXi+ trim at just a cost of about Rs. 13,990 as part of the festive season offer. Technically the hatchback remains the same with just a bit of feature upgrades.
Speaking on the pricing aspect the new Limited Edition of Maruti Suzuki Celerio VXi+ is offered around Rs. 4.19 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The Celerio Vxi+ trim continues to be powered by the existing 1.0 litre, four cylinder, petrol engine that generates a maximum power output of about 67 Bhp along with peak torque output of about 90 NM. The new trim gets interesting features like OVRMS that have been mated with turn indicators and the door handles have received body colored to render it an overall enhanced appeal. For sheer entertainment experience the cabin gets a JVC 2-DIN music system, multiple speakers and remote central locking. The front wheel drive system is powered by five-speed Automated Manual Transmission. The regular trims of Celerio hatchback is also available in 5-speed manual transmission option.
