      Maruti Suzuki appoints RS Kalsi as the new head for India Sales and Marketing

      Maruti Suzuki had recently seen the exit of its Chief Operating Officer for Sales and Marketing, Mayank Pareek, who has reportedly moved on for better prospects after being in service to India's largest car-maker for about 24 years. The company has now hired RS Kalsi as the new head for Sales and marketing in India. Mr. Kalsi shall be reporting to Kenichi Ayukawa, MD of Maruti Suzuki India, and he shall be looking into accessories, spare parts and outbound logistic division in the company.

      Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa speaking more on the decision for appointing RS Kalsi as new head for Sales and marketing, he said, “ R.S. Kalsi has served as our National Sales Head, before which he had led the company’s foray into a bouquet of businesses including Maruti Finance and Maruti True Value. This has enabled him to develop a sound understanding of the business.”

      Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director for Maruti Suzuki shall continue to head the international marketing division for the India's largest car-maker. The decision for Gujarat plant investment and ownership by parent company Suzuki Motor shall be made post voting by minority shareholders. The decision may be taken in November and not in October as decided earlier.
