MSI will launch the crossover in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is likely to be housed with a 1.6 litre engine that is capable of producing a top power output of 120 PS along with a peak torque of 156Nm. Diesel range of S-Cross SX4 could be employed with a 1.6 litre DDiS diesel powertrain thata engenders a maximum power of 120 PS and a top torque of 320 Nm. Petrol engines will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, there is also a possibility of five-speed automatic tranny being offered on petrol trims. Diesel variants on the other hand will only get the six-speed manual transmission.

In India the crossover will compete with the likes of Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Hyundai’s upcoming ix25 primarily. We expect MSI to price new S-Cross SX4 aggressively to give it a good start in domestic market.
