A good news for a large number of Indian car buyers who are waiting for the new generation compact Swift Dzire. The company is in the final preparations to roll-out its compact model os Swift Dzire which is expected to be about Rs 50,000 cheaper as compared to the previous model of the car. The new 2012 Swift Dzire will have a length of just less than 4 meters, giving it an eligibility to qualify for the lesser excise duty segment.
The company is reportedly testing the new compact size Dzire at its Manesar plant. The car is based on the platform of popular premium hatchback Swift. New Swift Dzire will be marking its debut in the Indian auto market at the Delhi International Auto Expo in the month of January 2012.
The new Swift Dzire, known as Swift 3.99 (highlighting its length) has been developed after company decided to invest Rs 500 crore on the project. It is expected that besides selling the car in the domestic market, the firm will also look forward to export a considerable number of compact swift Dzire models to the European market, where buyers of these kind of compact size fuel efficient cars are on a rise due to economic slowdown.
The car is expected to be price in the range of Rs.5.5 to 7 lakhs, where its major competitors will include Toyota Etios, Mahindra Verito, Chevrolet Aveo and Tata Indigo CS.
