      Mahindra Reva launches e20 in Bhutan

      India has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today with the Government of Bhutan. According to the MoU, Mahindra Group and Bhutan will unite to promote use of electric vehicles in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Private Limited, a subsidiary of Mahindra Group became a pioneer by launching its electric vehicle e20 in Bhutan today.

      Mahindra Reva e20 will be offered in three trims in Bhutan, the base model is available at a price of 6.99 Nguttrum (INR 7 lakh), the premium variant is priced at 7.99 Ngultrum (INR 8 lakh) and the premium trim with Quick2Charge is being offered at 8.39 Ngultrum (INR 8.40 lakh).

      Dr Pawan Goenka, Executive Director & President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Chairman, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. and the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay were present at the MoU signingandlaunch of Mahindra Reva e20 EV.

      The Government of Bhutan along with Mahindra Group will work towards creating a sustainable ecosystem for electric mobility. The first step would be to build a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Bhutan.In future Mahindra Group envisages launching affordable electric vehicles in Bhutan which will be used for public and private commuting. Mahindra Group will also have to tie up with the local partners’ local service and maintenance network for managing and administering any problem related to the vehicles.
