M&M's domestic sales increased by 23 per cent to 46,755 units in November 2012, as against 38,159 units in 2011. According to a statement released by the company, Mahindra & Mahindra's passenger vehicle segment, including Verito and utility vehicles, witnessed a 38 per cent growth in November this year and stood at 24,604 numbers.

M&M Chief Executive (Automobile Division) Pravin Shah said, "We are happy to maintain our growth trend on the back of our portfolio of products, especially the Quanto which has crossed more than 12,000 bookings in just over two months."

Shah further added, "The recently announced GDP numbers are in line with expectations and we do not foresee any immediate impact on the monetary policy. Till there is a decrease in interest rates for corporate or retail credits, financing rates will remain high for auto customers, which is a cause of concern. However, we expect interest rates to reduce during the last quarter of the current financial year."

The company's four-wheeler commercial segment including passenger and load categories grew by 7 per cent to 14,353 units in November 2012, whereas the three-wheeler segment witnessed a growth of 17 per cent to 1,388 units.
