Recently, there was an occasion for the Mahindra employees, which was undoubtedly worth celebrating; and around 3000 employees of the company found a unique way to celebrate. The company has reached a historic landmark of manufacturing and the successful production of 50 lakh vehicles recently. Undoubtedly, this event called for a huge celebration. To celebrate the occasion, the employees formed a human chain from the Air India Building, right across the Nariman Point and all the way to Girgaum Chowpatty to Mumbai. So, if you had chanced to go for a morning walk on the stretch of Marine Drive, you must have noticed a huge human chain.
Mahindra and Mahindra had announced recently that the monthly number of auto sales, which stood at 36328 units in the month of December 2014. In December 2013, the number of units sold was 39611. The passenger vehicles section sold 17311 in December 2014, which were 16436 units during the same period in 2013. The company showed a growth of 5 per cent during the period. The domestic sales of Mahindra and Mahindra stood at 34460 units in the month of December 2014, which were 36881 units in 2013. The Truck and Bus division on the other hand showed a massive growth of 92 per cent with a sale of nearly 843 units.
